How To Install node-gulp-sass on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install node-gulp-sass on Debian 12.
What is node-gulp-sass
node-gulp-sass is:
gulp-sass is a light-weight wrapper around either Dart Sass or Node Sass, although currently only Node Sass is packaged for Debian in the node-node-sass package.
gulp-sass must be imported into your gulpfile, where you provide it the compiler of your choice. To use gulp-sass in a CommonJS module (which is most Node.js environments), do something like this:
const sass = require(‘gulp-sass’)(require(’node-sass’));

Install node-gulp-sass Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install node-gulp-sass using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install node-gulp-sass
How To Uninstall node-gulp-sass on Debian 12
To uninstall only the node-gulp-sass package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove node-gulp-sass
Uninstall node-gulp-sass And Its Dependencies
To uninstall node-gulp-sass and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-gulp-sass
Remove node-gulp-sass Configurations and Data
To remove node-gulp-sass configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge node-gulp-sass
Remove node-gulp-sass configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove node-gulp-sass configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge node-gulp-sass
