How To Install mobyle on Debian 9
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install mobyle
on Debian 9.
What is mobyle
mobyle is:
Mobyle is a framework and web portal specifically aimed at the integration of bioinformatics software and databanks. It generates a web interface from an xml description for command-line based tools. It can submit jobs locally or using DRM systems.
This package will restart Apache after enabling the ??rewrite?? and ??headers?? modules.
The Mobyle project is now considered a legacy project and the code, although still available, will no longer maintained after december 31st, 2016.
There are three methods to install mobyle
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mobyle Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install mobyle
using apt-get

How To Uninstall mobyle on Debian 9
To uninstall only the mobyle
