How To Install icinga on Debian 10

on Debian 10.
What is icinga
icinga is:
Icinga is a modular monitoring framework for hosts, services, and networks, based on the Nagios project. It is designed to be easy to understand and modify to fit any need.
Features include:
- monitoring of network services via ping, SMTP, POP3, HTTP, NNTP, or TCP port;
- plugin interface to allow for user-developed service checks
- contact notifications when problems occur and get resolved (via email, pager, or user-defined method)
- support for proactive problem resolution (handlers can be defined to be run during service or host events)
- web output: current status, notifications, problem history, log file, etc.
This is a metapackage which depends on the Icinga core and the web front-end.
There are three methods to install icinga
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install icinga Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install icinga
using apt-get

How To Uninstall icinga on Debian 10
To uninstall only the icinga
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove icinga

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove icinga
Remove icinga Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge icinga
