How To Install doxygen-gui on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install doxygen-gui on Kali Linux.
What is doxygen-gui
doxygen-gui is:
Doxygen is a documentation system for C, C++, Java, Objective-C, Python, IDL and to some extent PHP, C#, and D. It can generate an on-line class browser (in HTML) and/or an off-line reference manual (in LaTeX) from a set of documented source files. There is also support for generating man pages and for converting the generated output into Postscript, hyperlinked PDF or compressed HTML. The documentation is extracted directly from the sources.
This package contains doxywizard, a GUI configuration tool for doxygen.
There are three methods to install doxygen-gui on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install doxygen-gui Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install doxygen-gui using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install doxygen-guiInstall doxygen-gui Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install doxygen-gui using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install doxygen-guiInstall doxygen-gui Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install doxygen-gui using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install doxygen-guiHow To Uninstall doxygen-gui on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the doxygen-gui package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove doxygen-guiUninstall doxygen-gui And Its Dependencies
To uninstall doxygen-gui and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove doxygen-guiRemove doxygen-gui Configurations and Data
To remove doxygen-gui configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge doxygen-guiRemove doxygen-gui configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove doxygen-gui configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge doxygen-guiDependencies
