What is perl-vars

This pragma will predeclare all the variables whose names are in the list, allowing you to use them under “use strict”, and disabling any typo warnings for them. For use with variables in the current package for a single scope, the functionality provided by this pragma has been superseded by “our” declarations, available in Perl v5.6.0 or later, and use of this pragma is discouraged.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-vars on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-vars.

Install perl-vars on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install perl-vars using dnf by running the following command:

How To Uninstall perl-vars on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the perl-vars package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-vars
