What is perl-locale

This pragma tells the compiler to enable (or disable) the use of POSIX locales for built-in operations (for example, LC_CTYPE for regular expressions, LC_COLLATE for string comparison, and LC_NUMERIC for number formatting). Each “use locale” or “no locale” affects statements to the end of the enclosing block.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-locale on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-locale.

Install perl-locale on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install perl-locale using dnf by running the following command:

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install perl-locale using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install perl-locale

How To Uninstall perl-locale on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the perl-locale package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-locale
