How To Install nbc on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install nbc on Fedora 36.
What is nbc
Next Byte Codes (NBC) is a simple language with an assembly language syntax that can be used to program LEGO’s NXT programmable brick (from the new LEGO Mindstorms NXT set). Not Exactly C (NXC) is a high level language, similar to C, built on top of the NBC compiler. It can also be used to program the NXT brick. NXC is basically NQC (Not Quite C) for the NXT.
We can use yum or dnf to install nbc on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nbc.
Install nbc on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nbc using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nbc
Install nbc on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nbc using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nbc
How To Uninstall nbc on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the nbc package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove nbc
