Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install links on Fedora 36.

Links is a web browser capable of running in either graphics or text mode. It provides a pull-down menu system, renders complex pages, has partial HTML 4.0 support (including tables, frames and support for multiple character sets and UTF-8), supports color and monochrome terminals and allows horizontal scrolling.

We can use yum or dnf to install links on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install links.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install links using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install links

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install links using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install links

To uninstall only the links package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove links
