What is debmirror

This program downloads and maintains a partial local Debian mirror. It can mirror any combination of architectures, distributions and sections. Files are transferred by ftp, http, hftp or rsync, and package pools are fully supported. It also does locking and updates trace files.

We can use yum or dnf to install debmirror on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install debmirror.

Install debmirror on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install debmirror using dnf by running the following command:
