Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install uresourced on Fedora 34.

What is uresourced

This daemon dynamically assigns a resource allocation to the active graphical user. If the user has an active graphical session managed using systemd (e.g. GNOME), then the memory allocation will be used to protect the sessions core processes (session.slice).

We can use yum or dnf to install uresourced on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install uresourced.

Install uresourced on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install uresourced using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install uresourced

How To Uninstall uresourced on Fedora 34
