What is tn5250

tn5250 is an implementation of the 5250 Telnet protocol. It provides the 5250 library and a 5250 terminal emulation. tn5250 0.17.4 27.fc34 x86_64 191 k tn5250-0.17.4-27.fc34.src.rpm fedora 5250 Telnet protocol and Terminal http LGPLv2+ tn5250 is an implementation of the 5250 Telnet protocol. It provides the 5250 library and a 5250 terminal emulation.

We can use yum or dnf to install tn5250 on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tn5250.

Install tn5250 on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install tn5250 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install tn5250

Install tn5250 on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
