How To Install radicale3 on Fedora 34
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install radicale3
on Fedora 34.
What is radicale3
The Radicale Project is a CalDAV (calendar) and CardDAV (contact) server. It aims to be a light solution, easy to use, easy to install, easy to configure. As a consequence, it requires few software dependencies and is pre-configured to work out-of-the-box. The Radicale Project runs on most of the UNIX-like platforms (Linux, BSD, MacOS X) and Windows. It is known to work with Evolution, Lightning, iPhone and Android clients. It is free and open-source software, released under GPL version 3. THIS IS MAJOR VERSION 3 UPGRADE BETWEEN MAJOR VERSIONS IS NOT SUPPORTED -> deinstall old major version -> install new version -> follow migration hints Upgrade hints from major version 2 -> 3 can be found here https (section ‘3.0.0’)
We can use yum
or dnf
to install radicale3
on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install radicale3.
Install radicale3 on Fedora 34 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install radicale3
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install radicale3
Install radicale3 on Fedora 34 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall radicale3 on Fedora 34
