How To Install pam_ssh on Fedora 34

pam_ssh is PAM module for use with SSH keys and ssh-agent PAM module for use with SSH keys and ssh-agent

In this tutorial we learn how to install pam_ssh on Fedora 34.

What is pam_ssh

This PAM module provides single sign-on behavior for UNIX using SSH keys. Users are authenticated by decrypting their SSH private keys with the password provided. In the first PAM login session phase, an ssh-agent process is started and keys are added. The same agent is used for the following PAM sessions. Install pam_ssh on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install pam_ssh using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install pam_ssh

Install pam_ssh on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall pam_ssh on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the pam_ssh package we can use the following command:
