How To Install cube2font on Fedora 34

cube2font is Utility program for creating font bitmaps for Cube Engine games

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install cube2font on Fedora 34.

What is cube2font

cube2font is a utility program designed to create font bitmaps for Cube Engine games, it works by taking a Truetype font and building it into a set of coordinates in an image. cube2font is an improved version of the previous TTF2Font, supporting a much larger range of characters.

We can use yum or dnf to install cube2font on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cube2font.

Install cube2font on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install cube2font using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install cube2font

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall cube2font on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the cube2font package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove cube2font
