Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install buku on Fedora 34.

What is buku

Buku is a powerful bookmark manager written in Python3 and SQLite3. Buku fetches the title of a bookmarked web page and stores it along with any additional comments and tags. You can use your favourite editor to compose and update bookmarks. With multiple search options, including regex and a deep scan mode (particularly for URLs), it can find any bookmark instantly. Multiple search results can be opened in the browser at once.

We can use yum or dnf to install buku on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install buku.

Install buku on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install buku using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install buku

How To Uninstall buku on Fedora 34
