In this tutorial we learn how to install pynslcd on Ubuntu 22.04.

What is pynslcd

pynslcd is:

This package provides a daemon for retrieving user accounts and similar system information from LDAP. It is used by the libnss-ldapd and libpam-ldapd packages but is not very useful by itself.

This is an alternative Python implementation of nslcd. Note that it is currently EXPERIMENTAL and has not undergone the same testing as nslcd.

There are three methods to install pynslcd on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install pynslcd Using apt-get
