How To Install poezio on Ubuntu 22.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install poezio on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is poezio
poezio is:
Poezio is a free console XMPP client (the protocol on which the Jabber IM network is built).
Its goal is to let you connect very easily (no account creation needed) to the network and join various chatrooms, immediately. It tries to look like the most famous IRC clients (weechat, irssi, etc). Many commands are identical and you won’t be lost if you already know these clients. Configuration can be made in a configuration file or directly from the client.
There are three methods to install poezio on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install poezio Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

How To Uninstall poezio on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the poezio package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove poezio
Uninstall poezio And Its Dependencies
To uninstall poezio and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove poezio
Remove poezio Configurations and Data
To remove poezio configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge poezio
Remove poezio configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove poezio configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge poezio
