How To Install passwdqc on Ubuntu 22.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install passwdqc on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is passwdqc
passwdqc is:
passwdqc is a password/passphrase strength checking and policy enforcement toolset, including a PAM module (libpam-passwdqc), command-line programs (pwqcheck and pwqgen), and a library (libpasswdqc).
This package provides pwqcheck and pwqgen, which are standalone password/passphrase strength checking and random passphrase generator programs, respectively, which are usable from scripts.
There are three methods to install passwdqc on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install passwdqc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

To uninstall only the passwdqc package we can use the following command:

Uninstall passwdqc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall passwdqc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove passwdqc
Remove passwdqc Configurations and Data
To remove passwdqc configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge passwdqc
