How To Install par2 on Ubuntu 22.04

What is par2
par2 is:
par2cmdline is a command line utility for creating and using PAR2 files to detect and repair damage in data files. It is most commonly used as part of backup systems as well as on Usenet.
In case files in a recovery set get damaged (e.g. while transmitted over a network or stored on a faulty disk) the program can read the damaged files and the (possibly damaged) PAR2 files, and regenerate the original input files.
There are three methods to install par2 on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install par2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install par2 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove par2

To remove par2 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge par2
