How To Install fling on Ubuntu 22.04

What is fling
fling is:
fling transfers data quickly over a trusted network. It does not encrypt the data. It tries to avoid copying data between kernel and userspace where it can. The most improvement over other tools like netcat is seen on systems with low memory bandwidth. fling is extremely Linux-specific, as almost all the optimisations used beyond what other similar tools do are non-portable.
There are three methods to install fling
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fling Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fling
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fling

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fling
Remove fling Configurations and Data
To remove fling
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fling
