gcl is:

GNU Common Lisp (GCL) is a Common Lisp compiler and interpreter implemented in C, and complying mostly with the standard set forth in the book “Common Lisp, the Language I”. It attempts to strike a useful middle ground in performance and portability from its design around C.

This package contains the Lisp system itself. Documentation is provided in the gcl-doc package.

There are three methods to install gcl on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install gcl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install gcl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install gcl

Install gcl Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install gcl using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install gcl

Install gcl Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
