How To Install mypaint on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install mypaint on Kali Linux.
What is mypaint
mypaint is:
MyPaint is a pressure- and tilt-sensitive painting program which works well with Wacom graphics tablets and other similar devices. It comes with a large brush collection including charcoal and ink to emulate real media, but the highly configurable brush engine allows you to experiment with your own brushes and with not-quite-natural painting.
This package contains the main program.
There are three methods to install mypaint on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install mypaint Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mypaint using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install mypaintInstall mypaint Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mypaint using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install mypaintInstall mypaint Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install mypaint using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install mypaintHow To Uninstall mypaint on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the mypaint package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove mypaintUninstall mypaint And Its Dependencies
To uninstall mypaint and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mypaintRemove mypaint Configurations and Data
To remove mypaint configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mypaintRemove mypaint configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove mypaint configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge mypaintDependencies
