How To Install libinput-tools on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libinput-tools on Kali Linux.
What is libinput-tools
libinput-tools is:
libinput is a library that handles input devices for display servers and other applications that need to directly deal with input devices.
It provides device detection, device handling, input device event processing and abstraction to minimize the amount of custom input code the user of libinput needs to provide the common set of functionality that users expect.
This package includes the command line tools.
There are three methods to install libinput-tools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libinput-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libinput-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libinput-toolsInstall libinput-tools Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libinput-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libinput-toolsInstall libinput-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libinput-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libinput-toolsHow To Uninstall libinput-tools on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libinput-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libinput-toolsUninstall libinput-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libinput-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libinput-toolsRemove libinput-tools Configurations and Data
To remove libinput-tools configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libinput-toolsRemove libinput-tools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libinput-tools configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libinput-toolsDependencies
