Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install libcljx-clojure on Kali Linux.

What is libcljx-clojure

libcljx-clojure is:

cljx is a Leiningen plugin and nREPL middleware that produces Clojure and ClojureScript code from a single annotated codebase. Effectively, it is an s-expression preprocessor that yields either Clojure and ClojureScript sources on disk.

The ClojureScript features in this package have been disabled, as ClojureScript is not packaged in Debian. As such, it can only be used to compile .cljx into regular Clojure.

There are three methods to install libcljx-clojure on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libcljx-clojure Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libcljx-clojure using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libcljx-clojure

Install libcljx-clojure Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libcljx-clojure using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libcljx-clojure

Install libcljx-clojure Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libcljx-clojure using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libcljx-clojure

How To Uninstall libcljx-clojure on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the libcljx-clojure package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libcljx-clojure

Uninstall libcljx-clojure And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libcljx-clojure and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcljx-clojure

Remove libcljx-clojure Configurations and Data

To remove libcljx-clojure configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libcljx-clojure

Remove libcljx-clojure configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libcljx-clojure configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libcljx-clojure
