How To Install etherdfs-server on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install etherdfs-server on Kali Linux.
What is etherdfs-server
etherdfs-server is:
EtherDFS is a DOS installable filesystem, mapping a DOS drive letter to a remote share. This package contains the server side of EtherDFS, a daemon exporting one or more directories for remote access by the EtherDFS DOS TSR.
There are three methods to install etherdfs-server on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install etherdfs-server Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install etherdfs-server using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install etherdfs-serverInstall etherdfs-server Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install etherdfs-server using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the etherdfs-server package we can use the following command:

To remove etherdfs-server configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
