Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install uthash-devel on CentOS 8.

What is uthash-devel

Any C structure can be stored in a hash table using uthash. Just add a UT_hash_handle to the structure and choose one or more fields in your structure to act as the key. Then use these macros to store, retrieve or delete items from the hash table.

We can use yum or dnf to install uthash-devel on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install uthash-devel.

Install uthash-devel on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install uthash-devel using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install uthash-devel

How To Uninstall uthash-devel on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the uthash-devel package we can use the following command:
