How To Install tfdocgen on CentOS 8

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install tfdocgen on CentOS 8.

What is tfdocgen

The tfdocgen program is a program used by the libti* libraries to generate their HTML documentation from sources and misc files. You don’t need this package unless you want to develop on the libti*2 libraries.

We can use yum or dnf to install tfdocgen on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tfdocgen.

Install tfdocgen on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install tfdocgen using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install tfdocgen

How To Uninstall tfdocgen on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the tfdocgen package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove tfdocgen
