How To Install stlink-gui on CentOS 8

stlink-gui is GUI for STM32 discovery line linux programmer

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install stlink-gui on CentOS 8.

STLINK v1/v2 JTAG/SWD debugging/flashing tool for STM32 microcontrollers.

We can use yum or dnf to install stlink-gui on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install stlink-gui.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install stlink-gui using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install stlink-gui

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install stlink-gui using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install stlink-gui

To uninstall only the stlink-gui package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove stlink-gui
/usr/bin/stlink-gui
/usr/bin/stlink-gui.ui
/usr/lib/.build-id
/usr/lib/.build-id/17
/usr/lib/.build-id/17/68d2e13735a5bbeaf5361bac003b6f1e3d2bb5
/usr/share/applications/stlink-gui.desktop
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/stlink-gui.svg
