How To Install rhn-check on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install rhn-check on CentOS 8.
What is rhn-check
rhn-check polls a Red Hat Satellite or Spacewalk server to find and execute scheduled actions.
We can use yum or dnf to install rhn-check on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rhn-check.
Install rhn-check on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install rhn-check using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rhn-check
Install rhn-check on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall rhn-check on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the rhn-check package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove rhn-check
rhn-check Package Contents on CentOS 8
/usr/sbin/rhn_check
/usr/share/man/man8/rhn_check.8.gz
