How To Install xshogi on Ubuntu 22.04

What is xshogi
xshogi is:
Gnushogi is a computer player for Shogi (Japanese chess).
XShogi provides an X Window interface to play Shogi against gnushogi, and can also be used as an interface for a game between two humans on the same computer.
There are three methods to install xshogi
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xshogi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xshogi
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xshogi

Update apt database with apt

After updating apt database, We can install xshogi
using apt

Install xshogi Using aptitude

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xshogi
Remove xshogi Configurations and Data
To remove xshogi
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xshogi
Remove xshogi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
