The urfkill daemon allow managing the rfkill-related hotkeys and the killswitches in a more configurable way for the common RF devices (WiFi, Bluetooth, WWan…). It handles the various key codes (KEY_WLAN, KEY_BLUETOOTH, KEY_RFKILL…) and toggles the killswitches based on a pre-defined policy.

There are three methods to install urfkill on Debian 11. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install urfkill Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
