List share drives, drive permissions, share contents, upload/download functionality, file name auto-download pattern matching, and even execute remote commands. This tool was designed with pen testing in mind, and is intended to simplify searching for potentially sensitive data across large networks.

There are three methods to install smbmap on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install smbmap Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install smbmap using apt-get by running the following command:
