How To Install sbd on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install sbd on Debian 9.
What is sbd
sbd is:
SBD provides a node fencing mechanism (Shoot the other node in the head, STONITH) for Pacemaker-based clusters through the exchange of messages via shared block storage such as for example a SAN, iSCSI, FCoE. It can be used as a STONITH mechanism in all configurations that have reliable shared storage.
There are three methods to install sbd on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sbd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install sbd using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sbd

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install sbd using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sbd
Install sbd Using aptitude

How To Uninstall sbd on Debian 9
To uninstall only the sbd package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sbd
Uninstall sbd And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sbd and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sbd
Remove sbd Configurations and Data
To remove sbd configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sbd
