How To Install ruby-geos on Debian 9

ruby-geos is:
GEOS provides a spatial object model and fundamental geometric functions. It implements the geometry model defined in the OpenGIS Consortium Simple Features Specification for SQL.
This package contains the Ruby bindings for GEOS.
There are three methods to install ruby-geos on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-geos using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-geos
How To Uninstall ruby-geos on Debian 9
To uninstall only the ruby-geos package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-geos

To uninstall ruby-geos and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-geos

To remove ruby-geos configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-geos
