How To Install rt5-apache2 on Ubuntu 22.04

rt5-apache2 is:
Request Tracker (RT) is a ticketing system which enables a group of people to intelligently and efficiently manage tasks, issues, and requests submitted by a community of users. It features web, email, and command-line interfaces (see the package rt5-clients).
RT manages key tasks such as the identification, prioritization, assignment, resolution, and notification required by enterprise-critical applications, including project management, help desk, NOC ticketing, CRM, and software development.
This package provides the 5 series of RT. It can be installed alongside the 3.8 and 4 series without any problems.
This package provides various configuration files and manages the necessary dependencies for running RT version 5 on the Apache 2 web server.
There are three methods to install rt5-apache2 on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install rt5-apache2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install rt5-apache2 using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install rt5-apache2 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install rt5-apache2
Install rt5-apache2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install rt5-apache2 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install rt5-apache2
How To Uninstall rt5-apache2 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the rt5-apache2 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove rt5-apache2
Uninstall rt5-apache2 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall rt5-apache2 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove rt5-apache2
Remove rt5-apache2 Configurations and Data
To remove rt5-apache2 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge rt5-apache2
Remove rt5-apache2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove rt5-apache2 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge rt5-apache2
