How To Install reprounzip on Ubuntu 22.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install reprounzip
on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is reprounzip
reprounzip is:
ReproZip is a tool aimed at simplifying the process of creating reproducible experiments from command-line executions, a frequently-used common denominator in computational science.
It tracks operating system calls and creates a package that contains all the binaries, files and dependencies required to run a given command on the author’s computational environment (packing step). A reviewer can then extract the experiment in his environment to reproduce the results (unpacking step).
This package provides the ReproZip unpacker.
There are three methods to install reprounzip
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install reprounzip Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install reprounzip

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

How To Uninstall reprounzip on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the reprounzip
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove reprounzip
Uninstall reprounzip And Its Dependencies
To uninstall reprounzip
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove reprounzip
Remove reprounzip Configurations and Data
To remove reprounzip
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge reprounzip
