How To Install pdal-doc on Ubuntu 22.04

pdal-doc is:
PDAL is a BSD licensed library for translating and manipulating point cloud data of various formats. PDAL can be used to read, write and translate point cloud data in many formats. Support is included for input files of LAS, LAZ, SBET, BPF, QFIT and others. PDAL can also read from and write to databases that support point cloud storage, including Oracle, Postgres and SQLite.
PDAL should not be confused with PCL (Point Cloud Library). PCL is a library specifically designed to provide algorithmic analysis and modification of point clouds. PDAL provides a limited interface to the facilities of PCL, but does not in general attempt to duplicate its capabilities.

There are three methods to install pdal-doc on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pdal-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pdal-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pdal-doc
Install pdal-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pdal-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pdal-doc
Install pdal-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pdal-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pdal-doc
How To Uninstall pdal-doc on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the pdal-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pdal-doc
Uninstall pdal-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pdal-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pdal-doc
Remove pdal-doc Configurations and Data
To remove pdal-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pdal-doc
Remove pdal-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pdal-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pdal-doc
