How To Install paperwork-gtk on Ubuntu 22.04

This is the GTK3 frontend part of Paperwork. It manages: The work directory / Access to the documents, Indexing, Searching, Suggestions, Import, Export.
Paperwork is a personal document manager. It manages scanned documents and PDFs. It’s designed to be easy and fast to use. The idea behind Paperwork is “scan & forget”: You can just scan a new document and forget about it until the day you need it again. In other words, let the machine do most of the work for you.
This package does not include localization files and dependencies. If you wish to install paperwork in your language, check the corresponding paperwork-gtk-l10n-* packages.
There are three methods to install paperwork-gtk on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install paperwork-gtk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install paperwork-gtk using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install paperwork-gtk
Install paperwork-gtk Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install paperwork-gtk using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install paperwork-gtk
Install paperwork-gtk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install paperwork-gtk using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install paperwork-gtk
How To Uninstall paperwork-gtk on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the paperwork-gtk package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove paperwork-gtk
Uninstall paperwork-gtk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall paperwork-gtk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove paperwork-gtk
Remove paperwork-gtk Configurations and Data
To remove paperwork-gtk configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge paperwork-gtk
Remove paperwork-gtk configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove paperwork-gtk configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge paperwork-gtk
