How To Install openqa-client on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is openqa-client
openqa-client is:
This package includes scripts such as ‘openqa-cli’ and ‘openqa-clone-job’ to provide easy control of openQA servers, via the REST API, as well as commands useful when administering an OpenQA server.
openQA is a testing framework that allows you to run tests on pretty-much anything that you can ‘remotely’ control. For instance, a VM that can be accessed via VNC.
There are three methods to install openqa-client
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openqa-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openqa-client
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install openqa-client
Install openqa-client Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install openqa-client
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install openqa-client
Install openqa-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install openqa-client
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install openqa-client
How To Uninstall openqa-client on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the openqa-client
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove openqa-client
Uninstall openqa-client And Its Dependencies
To uninstall openqa-client
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openqa-client
Remove openqa-client Configurations and Data
To remove openqa-client
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openqa-client
Remove openqa-client configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove openqa-client
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge openqa-client
