What is nemiver

nemiver is:

Nemiver is a project to write a standalone graphical debugger that integrates in the GNOME desktop. It features a backend which uses the well known GNU Debugger gdb to debug C/C++ programs.

Nemiver is built with a plugin system that can offer several different perspectives. Currently the only perspective provided is a debugging perspective, but it could be expanded with perspectives added for valgrind, or for profiling tools such as oprofile.

There are three methods to install nemiver on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install nemiver Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install nemiver using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install nemiver

Install nemiver Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install nemiver using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install nemiver

Install nemiver Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install nemiver using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall nemiver on Debian 9
