How To Install libpixels-java on Ubuntu 22.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libpixels-java on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is libpixels-java
libpixels-java is:
A large number of Java Image filters which are all standard Java BufferedImageOps and can be plugged directly into existing programs.
Many of these filters are useful in applications such as games where images need to be generated on the fly, or where it’s quicker to generate them rather than downloading them. For instance, it’s quicker to download one image and rotate it several times than to download several separate images.
Another use for the filters is in animation. For example animating the Water Ripple filter can produce a nice rippling effect. Some of the filters have a time parameter for this purpose.
All of the filters are designed to work with TYPE_INT_ARGB images.

There are three methods to install libpixels-java on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libpixels-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libpixels-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libpixels-java

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libpixels-java using apt by running the following command:

Install libpixels-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libpixels-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libpixels-java
How To Uninstall libpixels-java on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libpixels-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libpixels-java
Uninstall libpixels-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libpixels-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libpixels-java
Remove libpixels-java Configurations and Data
To remove libpixels-java configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libpixels-java
Remove libpixels-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libpixels-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libpixels-java
