In this tutorial we learn how to install libgmic-dev on Ubuntu 22.04.

What is libgmic-dev

libgmic-dev is:

G’MIC is an open and full-featured framework for image processing, providing several different user interfaces to convert/manipulate/filter/visualize generic image datasets, from 1d scalar signals to 3d+t sequences of multi-spectral volumetric images.

This package contains the development files for libgmic.

There are three methods to install libgmic-dev on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libgmic-dev Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libgmic-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libgmic-dev

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
