What is libfap6

libfap6 is:

libfap is a C port of the Ham::APRS::FAP Finnish APRS Parser (Fabulous APRS Parser) Perl module. As the original Perl code, libfap parses normal, mic-e and compressed location packets, NMEA location packets, objects, items, messages, telemetry and most weather packets. For more description, see the Perl module.

There are three methods to install libfap6 on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libfap6 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libfap6 using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libfap6 using apt by running the following command:

Install libfap6 Using aptitude
