on Debian 12.
What is graphite-web
graphite-web is:
Graphite consists of a storage backend and a web-based visualization frontend. Client applications send streams of numeric time-series data to the Graphite backend (called carbon), where it gets stored in fixed-size database files similar in design to RRD. The web frontend provides 2 distinct user interfaces for visualizing this data in graphs as well as a simple URL-based API for direct graph generation.
Graphite’s design is focused on providing simple interfaces (both to users and applications), real-time visualization, high-availability, and enterprise scalability.
There are three methods to install graphite-web
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install graphite-web Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install graphite-web
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install graphite-web
Install graphite-web Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install graphite-web
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install graphite-web
Install graphite-web Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install graphite-web
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install graphite-web
How To Uninstall graphite-web on Debian 12
To uninstall only the graphite-web
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove graphite-web
Uninstall graphite-web And Its Dependencies
To uninstall graphite-web
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove graphite-web
Remove graphite-web Configurations and Data
To remove graphite-web
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge graphite-web
Remove graphite-web configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove graphite-web
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge graphite-web
