How To Install gap-polymaking on Ubuntu 22.04

What is gap-polymaking
gap-polymaking is:
GAP is a system for computational discrete algebra, with particular emphasis on Computational Group Theory. GAP provides a programming language, a library of thousands of functions implementing algebraic algorithms written in the GAP language as well as large data libraries of algebraic objects. GAP is used in research and teaching for studying groups and their representations, rings, vector spaces, algebras, combinatorial structures, and more.
This package provides a very basic interface to the polymake program by Ewgenij Gawrilow, Michael Joswig et al.
There are three methods to install gap-polymaking on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gap-polymaking Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-polymaking using apt by running the following command:

Install gap-polymaking Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-polymaking using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gap-polymaking

To remove gap-polymaking configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gap-polymaking
Remove gap-polymaking configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gap-polymaking configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gap-polymaking
