This package provides Japanese SKK input method engine for Fcitx5, which uses libskk as its backend.

SKK stands for ‘Simple Kana to Kanji conversion program’. It provide Japanese input method which convert hiragana text to kanji text.

There are three methods to install fcitx5-skk on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fcitx5-skk Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
