What is eztrace

eztrace is:

EZTrace is a tool that aims at generating automatically execution traces from HPC (High Performance Computing) programs. It generates execution trace files that can be interpreted by visualization tools such as ViTE. It uses LD_PRELOAD and dlsym() to intercept calls to the usual HPC primitives, to be observed.

This package contains the tools.

There are three methods to install eztrace on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install eztrace Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install eztrace using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install eztrace
