Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install rig on Fedora 34.

What is rig

Rig is a utility designed to watch or monitor specific system resources (e.g. log files, journals, system activity, etc…) and then take specific action when the trigger condition is met. Its primary aim is to assist in troubleshooting and data collection for randomly occurring events.

We can use yum or dnf to install rig on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rig.

Install rig on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install rig using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install rig

How To Uninstall rig on Fedora 34
