What is procinfo

The procinfo command gets system data from the /proc directory (the kernel filesystem), formats it and displays it on standard output. You can use procinfo to acquire information about your system from the kernel as it is running. Install procinfo if you’d like to use it to gather and display system data.

We can use yum or dnf to install procinfo on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install procinfo.

Install procinfo on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install procinfo using dnf by running the following command:

How To Uninstall procinfo on Fedora 34
