In this tutorial we learn how to install esorex on Fedora 34.

What is esorex

EsoRex is the ESO Recipe Execution Tool. It can list, configure and execute CPL-based recipes from the command line. One of the features provided by the CPL is the ability to create data-reduction algorithms that run as plugins (dynamic libraries). These are called recipes and are one of the main aspects of the CPL data-reduction development environment.

We can use yum or dnf to install esorex on Fedora 34. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install esorex.

Install esorex on Fedora 34 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install esorex using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install esorex

Install esorex on Fedora 34 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall esorex on Fedora 34

To uninstall only the esorex package we can use the following command:
